Tonight I sanded all the edges of the doors. It’s nice to be able to clamp a door in the vise.
I used a sanding block and sandpaper, sanding by hand. I find it hard to avoid rounding over the edges or creating a bevel when using a random orbit sander on such a narrow edge. I’ll have to round the edges over slightly after I sand the faces, but I want to keep them crisp until then.
Next I’ll sand the faces. Then it’s on to sealing, staining, and finishing. And routing the mortises for the hinges in the face frames. And drilling for the bullet catches.
For tonight, I’m glad the edges are done.
